“Disneyland for the fat”
Pop Plus and other plus size fashion fairs in Brazil

This article aims to analyze the evolution of plus size fashion in the capital of São Paulo in the past few years. We discuss about the difficulties that fat people have to buy clothes São Paulo. We also argue fashion plus in the city from the appearance of three centers: Domingos de Moraes Street, José Paulino Streert and its intermediaries and the Brás region. Based on the researches done in these locations, we realized that the way the employees treat with the public who wears over 48 is is not appropriated. Therefore, we started the third part of this work by describing the fashion fair Pop Plus and the importance of this space for fat people, for those who are going to consume, and for those looking for this place for socialization, affection and exchanges. We also mention the appearance of other plus size fashion fairs in cities inside and outside the State of São Paulo that were developed from the advent of Pop Plus.
