This paper intends to understand the dynamics of taste in the fashion world and particularly in the personal choices. To achieve this, it takes into consideration the most crucial philosophical contribution (the Kantian aesthetics) and the most influential sociological approach (the theme of distinction, in Bourdieu), trying to associate sensitivity and sociality in the discussion about
fashion. As a conceptual bridge between these two perspectives, we take the exciting work of philosopher and sociologist Georg Simmel, to converge, in an appropriate manner, the aesthetic concerns and sociological issues.
