Fashion is present in several studies of Greimas, from his doctoral thesis to the last individual
work, Da imperfeição. In this book, Greimas proposes a semiotic theory of aesthetics, based on the analysis of the eruption of a sensitive experience or of its search by the subject – the fractures and the loopholes. One of the examples used by Greimas is precisely the program
of clothe’s choice by women. May the costume of a 1970’s giallo movie character, filled with significant traits (slits/landsknecht), represent a relevant text in the investigation of this resemantization process? Based on Greimas writings and fashion history contents, we believe we may identifying fractures and loopholes felt and operated by subjects and objects of this narrative.
