Our mean purpose is to demonstrate the relation between the studies of philosophy and thoughts of contemporany fashion. We are going to reproduce arguments of some writers who have handled the issue of fashion as a language, seeking to add other possibilities, with emphasis on Nietzsche’s thought. However, the common thread of our reflection is a text by Carol Shloss about Diane Arbus. The option for that in particular is justified by the fact that the author treat the clothing under the bias of the man’s creative impulse and his needs to make himself knew. We intend to close writer’s reflections to Nietzsche’s claims about such matters back in the nineteenth century.
